Hello Dear Ones,

Hair Hygiene is next thing I would like to talk about.  As we all know, washing our hair regularly promotes hair growth. Shampoos and conditioners are basic products we use in washing the hair but using oils for treatments also contributes to hair growth. Oils such as Jojoba oil, Coconut Oil, Olive oil, Almond oil etc are very good oils for thinning hair. Shampoos are made to strip the hair off everything and conditioners leave behind nutrients and they make the hair feel soft and nourished.

The best products to use are those that contain natural ingredients. Since going natural, I cannot stay a whole week without washing my and this has made me dandruff free. Lol

Another tip is the PH of the products we use: The natural PH of our hair and skin is between 5 and 6; slightly acidic therefore any product with high acidity or alkalinity will damage the hair so the ideal PH for products is between 4 and 7. I manage to test every product I use on my

Natural hair moisturisers like Shea butter makes the hair very manageable and promotes hair growth, it can be used on both relaxed and natural hairs. Don’t worry about the smell because I have used Shea butter for years now and after applying to my hair and skin there is no smell at all. Let’s treat our hair with love and avoid all the products which are full of parabens, silicones, sodium laurel sulphate etc. Please do me a favour, go through all the hair, skin products you have and put down all the chemicals you see then Google them on the internet. You will be shocked! If we love our hair and we want a healthy long hair, let’s give it good food then. When we start to read labels on products, we will mind what we feed our hair with.

Damaged hair

I believe this has helped a great deal, let’s cherish our black hair because it can grow as long as we want it.

Thanks for stopping by, I appreciate you.

Please comment or send an email to to ask any question you have.

God bless!

Please Note: You can detect your hair is damaged when you take a strand from your head and you feel it with your thumb and index finger, you will feel a rough cuticle but healthy hair has a smooth feel on the cuticle.

Hi everyone,

Hope your day went well, I would like to continue with maintaining hair length.

3. The fourth thing I would like to talk about is gentle washing of hair: I believe as our hairs are delicate, we need to treat it nicely by washing the hair gently. Gentle rubbing is best when washing the hair. You face so many challenges because you are told to avoid manipulating your relaxed when it’s wet because that’s when the hair is weak. On the other hand, you are as well told not to comb the hair when it’s dry as it causes excessive breakage!

1.            Protective styling is also one way of maintaining hair length. Try to put your hair in a    protective style once a while for example Braids, Twists, Bantu knots, Cornrows or a Bun.
Bantu Knots

I believe these 5 points will help us to maintain our hair length because black women can also achieve long hair. Lol

Have a blessed day and enjoy your hair to the fullest.

Hello everyone,

Sorry for the long break, I had to put everything down to complete an assignment and also to finish writing the stuff on my online store which I will be launching very soon. Okay, today I would like to talk about the 5 ways of maintaining your hair length.

1.       The first thing I would like to talk about is covering the hair when sleeping: It is ideal to cover the hair with a satin scarf or a satin pillow case. In my case I use a satin pillow case because I cannot tie my hair whilst sleeping. The reason why satin is the best material for preventing hair loss is because it’s smooth therefore causes less stress on your hair than cotton and wool.

2.       The second thing I would talk about is treating your hair well when it’s wet: This is because hair is at its weakest point when it’s wet. It’s weak because water breaks down the natural hydrogen bonds in the hair. So handle it with care because your hair is your glory.

I will continue in the next blog. Hope this helped
